The Line Cook will work alongside our Executive Chef and kitchen team to prepare high-quality menu items for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and special occasions. This position is ideal for someone with culinary training or previous kitchen experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food. Looking to have someone start immediately!
What You’ll Do- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and chef specifications.
- Assist with daily food prep, cooking, and plating for catered events.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to Crescent Moon Catering standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and production.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
What We’re Looking For- Culinary school education, culinary certificate, or previous professional kitchen experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working weekends—especially in the summer months when our season is at its peak.
- Ability to work long, fast-paced kitchen shifts during the busy season.
What to Expect- Hours are not guaranteed—catering is a seasonal business, and while there may be work year-round, the majority of hours will be June through September. During peak season, you may work upwards of 30-40 hours per week, but hours will vary.
- Pay starts at $20/hour and will be evaluated based on experience.
